Our lead aesthetics nurse prescriber, Laura Sweeney, is dedicated to helping you achieve your aesthetic goals while prioritising your safety and wellbeing. With extensive training and experience in aesthetic medicine, she is qualified at assessing your individual needs and recommending tailored treatment plans that align with best practices and the latest industry standards.
Laura graduated in Bachelor of Nursing at Liverpool John Moores University in 2006. With extensive years of experience in the NHS, Laura ensures that she brings her wealth of knowledge and skill to every client treatment. Laura worked as a Vascular Nurse for 2 years, as an Infection Prevention and Control Nurse Specialist for 6 years and also qualified as a Public Health Nurse Specialist in 2014. She currently works for the NHS 3 days a week as a Health Visitor.
Laura is a competent and experienced Non-Medical prescriber. She gained her V300 qualification in 2020. She understands the importance of prescribing and administering Prescription Only Medications (POMs) safely and competently. Laura is also complications trained and is experienced and qualified to deal with emergencies such as anaphylaxis and resuscitation.
Laura completed her foundation course in Botox injections and dermal fillers with Skin Viva training Academy in August 2018. She specialises in aesthetic treatments such as advanced anti-ageing injections and advanced facial fillers, as well as being qualified to prescribe medical-grade skincare such as the Zo Skin Health and Obagi range. She specialises in Medical Microneedling facials and Chemical Peels. She is qualified to help patients with a wide range of skin concerns.
Laura is accountable to the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) and is fully insured with Insync Insurance. Laura is the main Nurse Prescriber for The Aesthetic Company.
